I have a thing for natural science lithography from the 19th century. I'm always grabbing images off of the internet and drawing inspiration from their amazing beauty. Here's a sketchy collage for a jungle piece yet to be fully worked out.

Sweet lion there with his birdy friend. Don't know too much about turn of the century botany but I do know there were some amazing illustrators out there as evidenced by old books. What a talent to be able to render so perfectly nature in all it's imperfections. xox
